A few weeks ago Darren and I went hiking near Sedona. We hiked into Wet Beaver Creek and did some swimming and cliff jumping. So fun!! It was a perfect way to spend a hot, Arizona summer weekend.

but the reward was well worth it!
After swimming, we hiked the 3.5 miles out and then went camping near Pine.

This year for the 4th of July we went to Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix. We went last year and the fireworks were spectacular so we decided to go again. Although the fireworks really are the best I have ever seen, I really missed being in Heber with family and friends. Now that my mom lives down here in the valley, and her house is all closed up, we didn't have anywhere to stay. The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays and it just didn't feel the same this year. Hopefully next year we can pick up where tradition left off.
